Kathy Meherin has a knack for turning storms into calm.
As a matter of fact, those who know her well describe Kathy as the calming force in any room in almost any situation.
It’s no wonder that she has been successful in her career, in her charity work for children, and in overcoming a debilitating bout with cancer 6 years ago.
Probably one of Kathy’s greatest strengths, besides her rock steady disposition, is her ability to successfully negotiate and persuade others to come around to her way of thinking. This was a pretty useful skill during her 15 years resolving medical/legal liens and commercial debt collection. Her desire to do something more physical led her to a stint at the movie studios working on set construction. Kathy’s ability to see the big picture, combined with impressive physical strength and agility made her experience as the foreman running a crew for the X Files, Blind Justice, Easy Streets and other TV hits and feature films, a rewarding although demanding transition to what has now become her greatest love: Selling Real Estate, or as she puts it, “helping people make their dreams come true.”
A native Angelino, Kathy knows plenty about Los Angeles and the changing real estate markets of the past few decades. She believes finding and matching buyers and sellers who are ready to fulfill each others goals and dreams is rewarding and a privilege in any market. “It’s about integrity and listening”, Kathy says. “No one loves the waiting and the insecurity of it all but in the end, helping people get what they want and being happy is what it’s all about. Everything good in life takes patience, and I have plenty of that”.
Kathy lives in Venice and loves taking care of her home that she shares with her partner of 15 years. She spends countless hours each year volunteering for charities, particularly The Alliance for Children's Rights’ where she runs one of their best annual fundraisers. She uses her ability to stay calm and steady while having fun doing one of her favorite pastimes, playing Texas Hold-Em Poker, something she has been doing, as she says, long before it became the rage. Kathy is not about following a rage. She follows her own heart and helps people follow their dreams when it comes to buying and selling homes.
